Brush your Teeth and Foam Roll
|
I have been imploring my clients for years, "please foam roll!" now the New York Times is backing me up.
Everyone from Women's Health Magazine to About.com have been touting the miracle that is the foam roller. In December 2009, the New York Times joined the band wagon of news media touting the benefits of the devices. According sources sited by the New York Times, foam rolling is as important as brushing your teeth. In essence, it is the same. Foam rolling is a preventative and continuing care technique for stiff muscles, scar tissue, muscles, tendons and more. It is the device your physical therapist and chiropractor recommend you use if you don't want to see them.
For more information on the purpose and uses of foam rolling contact me, or you can purchase your foam roller from Amazon using the store link bellow.

IUDs the Birth Control of Choice? IUDs the #1 gynecologist recommended form of birth control? According to Women's Health Magazine, IUDs are an effective alternative to the Pill and an increasing favorite with gynecologist.
IUDs have come a long way since their inception. Current technology makes IUDs a more effective form of birth control than the Pill. In order for the Pill to be 99% effective it has to be used perfectly. For the average user, who may not take their pill at exactly the same time every day, the pill is only 92-95% effective. On the other hand an IUD is placed by your doctor and requires no special effort. In addition; use of the pill presents many unpleasant side affects and carries major health risks. For those who suffer weight gain, emotional and sometimes mental issues
from the use of the Pill, IUDs present a welcome alternative. The low dose or hormone free IUD may be a healthier choice. If you're interested in IUDs, consult with your physician, you may be surprised by what you learn.

Cardio Tip
Aerobic
exercise is a great way to stay in shape and burn fat. We often get
comfortable in our routines and stop challenging ourselves. In order to
keep getting results it’s important to keep your exercise intensity up.
Keep pushing yourself but remember if you can’t talk during your
exercise you’re pushing too hard. Now get out there; walk, swim or jog
but stay active!
